My friend  from the Bay put me on to Chip the Ripper. I had never heard of him prior to my friend telling me about him…mainly because Chip is from Cleveland, and LA hip hop fans give out of towners the side eye. We’ll go to see damn near anyone perform, but if they’re weak we talk shit about them to no end. However, when my peeps recommend music to me that I haven’t heard, I make the effort to give it a quick listen. Sometimes I find the music not to be my taste, other times I’m pleasantly surprised by the quality of what I hear. When I heard Chip the Ripper’s “Feel Good” I was like ok…I dig.

I think dude has a good presence and a good flow, and he appeals to the ladies. The hook on this song is so awesome. It was stuck in my head all morning. Check him out!
