Dame Dash Presents: The Black Roc Project

4 Dec 2009 by admin, 1 Comment »

Dame Dash is still doing big things! Dame’s latest venture is a compilation with indie rock band Black Keys and hip hop artists Mos Def, Jim Jones, Q-Tip, Ludacris, and Nicole Wray (where the hell she been?) to create The Black Roc Project.

Taking a peek at the trailer, it looks like a dope compilation. To be truthful I’d never heard of Black Keys but their music sounds good. I’d be inclined to take a listen to what Black Keys has to offer from here on out. My ignorance of Black Keys exhibits the beauty of a project like this – it bridges the gap between rock and hip hop and creates an awareness and appreciation of the music of the artists involved in the compilation. Peep the trailer:

I still think Dame Dash is an asshole, but he’s a smart asshole. Even though his empire fell, he has the fortitude to rebuild and comeback with something innovative and game-changing.
