Somebody Gave Snoop An Office Job

9 Sep 2009 by admin, No Comments »

AHH is reporting that Snoop was named Creative Chairman of EMI – Priority Records, following in the steps of artists like Jay-Z and Jermaine Dupri. Snoop will be in charge of developing the creative direction of the label, and helping them keep up with the pace of digital music.

Power move for Snoop. I imagine it to be pivotal for him. Back in the day, many west coast hip hop artists were signed to Priority, including N.W.A. and Ice Cube. If there was no N.W.A., there would have never been a Dr. Dre, and thus no Snoop. It seems to have come full circle.

While the significance of Snoop’s new position is great, I can’t help but wonder…imagine if Snoop was your boss? Think about it:

1. You would get weed breaks everyday. And you would be able to expense it.

2. You would get to hang out with Uncle Junebug.

3. You would get to take Snoop’s lowrider to the car wash.

4. You would get to utilize Snoop’s hairstylist.

5. You might be able to get away with wearing corduroy house shoes on casual Friday.

I’m just saying, these are some real perks!

Obviously I’m poking fun at Snoop Dogg, but real spit, congrats to him. This is a definitive move forward.
