Some women look really good with a baldie. Amber Rose immediately comes to mind. It’s not a new thing, but lately it seems trendy for chicks to shave half their head, or to just take a bit off the side. I wouldn’t do it personally, but I think it looks really eclectic and fly when executed properly. Cassie? Not so much. La La Vasquez or Raven Symone is more like it.

Typically when women shave their hair it is a cultural statement. The message a woman conveys when she shaves her hair is that you can be beautiful without hair. Long, flowing locks are classically associated with femininity. When you go against an archetype that has been in place since the dawn of time, it creates a bold, compelling statement against the prevailing standard of beauty.
